Veil Regulation

Veil Regulation

There are certain regulations we should follow when worshiping God. Veil regulation is the law of God we should practice when worshiping God. Services should be held according to the teachings of God. We should have a godly mind and women should wear veils.

Women of the Church of God wear veils during worship according to the teachings of God. By wearing veils, we can worship God with a godly mind. Men do not cover their heads during worship.

God gave us the veil regulation as a sign representing God’s authority. However many people regard this regulation as trivial and do not obey it.

Hosea 8:12 I wrote for them the many things of my law, but they regarded them as something foreign.

God established many laws for the salvation of mankind, but people regard them as something alien. All the commands of God are given for our salvation.

Veil Regulation is God’s Command

God commanded us that women ought to cover their heads during worship and men should not cover their heads.

1 Corinthians 11:3-6 But I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God. Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head. But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head—it is the same as having her head shaved. For if a woman does not cover her head, she might as well have her hair cut off; but if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, then she should cover her head.

Through the teachings of Christ, we come to know that women should cover their heads during worship but men should not.

During the time of the Old Testament, the head of a woman signified the authority of a man over a woman. Thus, it was regarded as very shameful if a woman uncovered her head in front of a man or even loosened her hair. That is why the Bible says “It is just as though her head were shaved.”

Veil Regulation Shown Through the Nature of Things

1 Corinthians 11:13-15 Judge for yourselves: Is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered? Does not the very nature of things teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace to him, but that if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For long hair is given to her as a covering.

This verse implies that it is not proper for a woman to worship God with her head uncovered. When a woman has long hair that covers her head, she looks beautiful, and it becomes her glory. However, it is not proper for men to have long hair.

Through the nature of things, God taught us that men ought not to cover their heads, but women should cover their heads. The concept of ‘long hair is given to her as a covering’ suggests that God uses a woman’s long hair to subconsciously convey the idea that it is proper for her to cover her head.

Men Ought not to Cover Their Heads

In some churches, male priests cover their heads. However, this is not God’s teachings.

2 Corinthians 3:13-15 We are not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face to prevent the Israelites from seeing the end of what was passing away. But their minds were made dull, for to this day the same veil remains when the old covenant is read. It has not been removed, because only in Christ is it taken away. Even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts.

Those churches misinterpret these verses. The veil here was not for covering the head, but for covering the face.

When Moses came down from Mount Sinai, the people were afraid to come near him because his face was so radiant. So, Moses covered his face with a veil. Afterwards, it became a custom for men to cover their faces whenever they read the Law of Moses.

However, the veil of covering men’s faces has nothing to do with a veil for the woman.

Only Those Who Do the Will of God Can Enter Heaven

The regulation of the veil is the law that was established and proclaimed by God Himself. Nevertheless, in most churches, women do not wear veils and some men wear hats during worship. This is an act of disobedience to God’s word. The Bible says that disobeying the regulation of the veil is an act of dishonoring God.

Matthew 7: 21-23 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

The regulation of the veil is absolutely the will of God and a law of the New Covenant proclaimed by God. Those who insist on their own thoughts and commit lawlessness by ignoring God’s laws cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

Following the will of Father and Mother, let us obey the law of veil regulation faithfully according to God’s teachings.
